The VanMoof S5 is a remastered straight-frame e-bike built for controlled cruising. Rider height 5'4" to 6'9".
Halo Ring interface: LED rings on the handlebar show battery level and speed/assist mode. A phone mount works with the VanMoof app, which tracks speed, ride time and distance.
Gen 5 Kick Lock locks and unlocks automatically. A Turbo Boost button gives a burst of acceleration. The Gen 5 motor with torque sensor pairs with the Gen 5 E-shifter for automatic gear changes.
Built-in anti-theft tech sets off an alarm and locks the bike down if tampered with. Wiring, locks and lighting are fully integrated, with low-maintenance parts, and Apple Find My is supported.
Recent updates include a reinforced motor cable bracket, reinforced brake levers, and new firmware improving E-shifter calibration, Bluetooth, power use and lights.
