The Elegance pairs classic heritage looks with electric assistance, based on the Dawes Duchess, the brand's most popular heritage model. Styling takes cues from traditional steel frames, but the frame is lightweight aluminium for comfort and easier handling, with geometry designed for town riding, country parks and canal towpaths. The low step frame makes getting on and off easy.
A 360Wh rack-mounted battery offers up to 40 miles (64km) of range and charges from empty in about 5 hours, on or off the bike, with a key lock. A Bafang rear hub motor produces 32Nm of torque, with five power modes selected via the LED handlebar display, which also shows battery level and speed. Walk assist helps when pushing up steep hills.
7-speed Shimano Tourney gearing with twist shifter and low-maintenance V-brakes. Puncture-protected Innova tyres, ergonomic grips and a Selle Royal Freeway saddle; swept-back bars give an upright position and the adjustable stem fine-tunes fit.
